Join Us!

To join the NSRC, you need to pay a small membership fee of $20 each school year.

The benefits of becoming a member:

• Reduced rates to attend the NSRC meetings & conferences
• Membership to WORD (Washington Organization of Reading Development) which includes newsletters, and advance notice & reduced fees for WORD conferences
• Great to put on a resume’
• The satisfaction of belonging to a local reading council that supports professional development and collegiality for the enhancement of the teaching of literacy
• Eligibility for the drawings of professional materials, books for your classroom, or other special prizes offered at some of our meetings

We do offer a discounted membership for
fulltime students, para-educators, substitute teachers, non-contracted teachers and retired educators. This membership is called an associate membership and costs $10.
